RECARBON has collaborated with NL Comp (www.nlcomp.tech) on the production of some components of the new ECORACER 30 OD hull, presented at the Ocean Race Grand Finale in Genoa, by developing specific sandwich panels in recycled carbon fibre, 100% thermoplastic and without the use of glues, perfectly matching NL Comp’s philosophy for the end-of-life recovery of their boats.

After the degree, Luca worked in the UK for a multiaxial textile company and for 8 years in Italy in his consultancy company, active in the composite materials World. He has competence in nanomaterials and carbon based products. From 2017 he is actively researching recycled carbon fiber based applications in composite materials, with particular interest for new advanced technologies.

In 2019 he received the CERT’ing certification from ACCREDIA according to the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17024. He has been working for more than 30 years in the development of advanced composites, 20 of which as a consultant for companies around the World.
