Levante, an Italian green-tech startup, has developed the world’s first solar panels made with recycled carbon fiber (rCFRP). These cutting-edge panels are semi-rigid, frameless, and glass-free, making them exceptionally lightweight, durable, and portable. Compared to conventional semi-rigid solar panels, they are 40% lighter and offer superior structural resilience, ensuring optimal protection for the solar cells.

NL COMP: Recycled Carbon Fiber Dock Box
RECARBON has again collaborated with NL Comp (www.nlcomp.tech) to produce a Dock Box, totally made with RECOMB panels in an interlocking solution, which was presented at the Genoa Boat Show in September where the “Eco Yachts” brand dedicated to cruising sails was launched.
The solution, which does not involve any gluing or fastening points, allows easy assembly and disassembly and consequent transport anywhere, thanks also to the reduced weight (40% savings vs. traditional fiberglass panels). The absence of glues or thermosetting resins allows total recovery at the end of life, still marrying NL Comp’s philosophy.

FIM – Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi presented the new REGINA 440 model, created in collaboration with RECARBON and CBS – Advanced Composites for the manufacture of superstructures and wall panels that guarantee lightness and recovery of materials.

AEHRA: Aerodynamic Wheel Covers in Recycled Carbon Fiber
RECARBON collaborated with AEHRA (www.aehra.com) for the manufacturing of recycled carbon fiber aerodynamic wheel covers for the upcoming SUV and SEDAN models.
The 24” wheel covers are made from ‘forged effect’ recycled carbon fibre prepregs, with autoclave curing. The component has an excellent appearance, suitable for automotive class A finish.

NL COMP: Recycled Carbon Fiber Engine Box
RECARBON has collaborated with NL Comp (www.nlcomp.tech) on the production of some components of the new ECORACER 30 OD hull, presented at the Ocean Race Grand Finale in Genoa, by developing specific sandwich panels in recycled carbon fibre, 100% thermoplastic and without the use of glues, perfectly matching NL Comp’s philosophy for the end-of-life recovery of their boats.

Eco Sailing Week: 1001VELAcup Trophies
RECARBON supported the organisation of the 1001VELAcup event (www.1001velacup.eu) during the EcoSailingWeek 2022, by collaborating in the realisation of the “1001VELAcup’s Trophy “, using the recycled carbon fibre organosheets.
The 1001VELAcup is a competition among universities with boats designed, built and sailed by university students, in a three-day regatta.
